Education and learning has become so difficult for everyone because of the expenses. Students like me, who are overseas students are really facing problems because of the increased fee and living expenses of living abroad.
Well this was my story but a few months ago but when I applied and successfully gained the student loan my whole life was changed. I thought that I should share my experience and the knowledge that I gained during my journey of getting the student loan. Well the first thing that you should do is to review your credit report. Luckily my credit report was pretty good so one of the problems that can be faced during the loan process was solved. But if your credit report is showing poor results then you will be included in the list of bad creditors and it will really be difficult to get the student loan with a bad credit report. I should mention here, that the student loan for bad creditors is never impossible; you can get it by submitting the guarantee of your family member or friend with good credit report.
The second step that I followed was the selection of type of the student loan. Actually two types of student loans are available i.e. the private student loan and the government student loan. Usually private student loans are easily accessible as compared to the government loans. The interest rates charged by the lenders of private sector are usually higher than the government rates. My search did not end here; I wanted to choose the best lender so that the loan does not affect my credit report. I thoroughly reviewed all the market and checked the rates, terms and conditions offered by every potential lender so that I can choose the lender who is perfect to finance my studies. The most common point that I heard during my loan seeking journey was “if you can arrange a co-signer then you can get your loan in just a few days”. So that is my point, if you have a co-signer then you do not have to worry.
Now lastly, what I did was the review of the whole schedule by using the loan calculators. This schedule is really helpful in making the loan repayment plan in your mind. Another thing that I would like to mention here is the forgiveness from the bank or other lenders. Some of the lenders offer the student loan forgiveness programs. Well they are really helpful in case you fail to pay the debt after such a long time. The basis behind such programs is that after some years say 25 years, you will be forgiven for the student loan you had taken. But I did not selected this option because I just needed a student loan for a short time and the short term student loans do not required such programs. Finally I will say that student loans are easiest to get, you just need a perfect plan to follow.
